Chapter 1 - Install Ionic

To start Ionic app development, we need to install some essential utilities.

1. Install Node.js and npm

First, we need to install Node.js. Node.js is a JavaScript runtime. npm is a package manager for the JavaScript programming language. It will be installed with Node.js.

2. Install Ionic CLI and Cordova

For Windows, Go to command prompt and run:

$ npm install -g ionic cordova

For Mac/Linux, use:

$ sudo npm install -g ionic cordova
